Education plays an important role in physiotherapy. The goal of physiotherapy is to return you to your optimal function and strength, while educating you about your injury. This allows you to independently maintain a healthy body without the constant supervision of a therapist.

Steph completed her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2013. Prior to this, she obtained her Honours Specialization in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. Steph currently resides in Peterborough, where she grew up.

Steph has been part of the FreeFlo team since 2013 and is working towards her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. She utilizes soft tissue release, joint and neural mobilization techniques and personalized exercises programs in treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries. Steph received the 2021 Readers’ Choice Diamond Physiotherapist Award.

Active and enthusiastic are two words that accurately describe Steph. She has been involved in martial arts since she was very young: she has her black belt in karate, was an active competitor winning a provincial championship in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and went on to attend the World’s BJJ tournament in 2016 where she placed third. She also excelled in rugby, playing and captaining for Western University, Ontario and Canada. Steph enjoys being outdoors, snowboarding, waterskiing, and spending time with friends and family.

Graham graduated from McGill University in 2002 with a BSc in Physiotherapy after completing 3 years of Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. He is originally from Lakefield and now resides in Warsaw with his wife and four kids. Graham has completed all of his training in the Manual and Manipulative Therapy (level 5) from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. As well, Graham has his level 1 Acupuncture and has taken the fit-for golf courses. Graham utilizes joint mobilizations, joint manipulations, exercise therapy, acupuncture, ultrasound and neural mobilization techniques in treating an assortment of spinal dysfunction and upper and lower extremity injuries. He previously volunteered physiotherapy coverage for the Peterborough Lakers Lacrosse as well as the Peterborough Half Ironman. Alicia graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College, with an advanced diploma in Massage Therapy. She joined the Freeflo team in 2012. Alicia enjoys working along side her fellow practioners providing a variety of treatments such as WSIB, MVA, MIG and DVA. Alicia enjoys providing a wide variety of techniques and has an interest in the deep tissue, rehabilitative and therapeutic side of treatment. She has experience treating clients who are young, old, have chronic pain, post surgical scar tissue, back pain, work related/overuse injuries, migraines, headaches, and prenatal massage.

Alicia was raised in Douro and still resides in the area. Outside of her practice Alicia can be found showing horses, helping on her family farm, and volunteering in many different local sport organizations. She also enjoys hunting, playing hockey and baseball and spending time with her family and friends.

Born and raised in Peterborough, Monica has always had a desire to help others. This desire lead her to pursue a career in massage therapy and ultimately join the FreeFlo team in 2017. With experience in both clinic and spa settings, she continues to enjoy the positive experiences and interactions with a variety of clients and looks forward to continue learning and expanding her knowledge and skillset.

In her free time, Monica enjoys doing yoga, reading, and spending time outdoors camping or hiking. She loves being surrounded by her family, friends, and rescued cats and dog.

Emily recently graduated from the University of Toronto, completing her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy after completing a 4-year degree in Kinesiology between Trent and Ontario Tech. Emily was born and raised in Bobcaygeon ON, where she continues to reside.

Prior to her university education, Emily completed the OTA&PTA program at Fleming College where she first met the Free Flo Team after being placed there as a student in 2015. She is overwhelmed with excitement to join the Free Flo Team as the newest Physiotherapist making it a full circle moment.

Emily has been working towards completing different levels of Pelvic Floor physiotherapy as well as dry needling and acupuncture. She is happy to announce she is now offering the above services to her patients.

After meeting Emily, you’ll quickly learn her love for her chocolate lab Ben, as he is the centre of her world. She loves the outdoors and hunting. In her spare time, she also enjoys staying active and finding new adventures.
